Titleserv, a title insurance agent that operated in 47 states, has shut down

According to a recent headline in newsday.com, Titleserv located in Woodbury, Long Island closed its doors on Friday, April 8, 2011. Founded in 1986, TItleserv was a leading provider of title insurance, appraisal and settlement service nationwide.

"We continue to receive numerous inquiries from lenders whose title company has downsized or gone out of business due to the turbulent and unstable market conditions," comments Elliot Liss, Closeline Settlements' co-founder.
