The company is offering its Agency Services platform so title companies can service a broader market without leaving their local service area.
"We offer a seamless solution in which the local title company maintains the relationship with the client and we handle the back-office processing," said Tanya Themistokleous, senior vice president, marketing and sales at Closeline Settlements. "This service is a big advantage for local title companies. They are able to maintain their existing relationships as well as service new clients with out-of-state needs, and still remain as the single point of contact."
Closeline is individually licensed in all the states where they do business and is dedicated to offering the Agency Services program that abides by all current laws and regulations. Partnering with a company that does not follow specific regulations that guide these relationships can be a risky endeavor, the company stated.
"What many people don't realize is that the guidelines for title company partnerships have recently been altered in order to further prohibit kickbacks and unearned referral fees," Themistokleous said. "Agency Service relationships need to be handled in a very specific way in order to maintain legalities and comply with RESPA regulations. Our legal team consistently monitors these relationships to ensure that we are providing the highest level of service to the local title companies and their clients at the highest level of compliance."
